Coverswift privacy policy
Last updated October 28, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Coverswift: Thumbnail Maker (com.tinyfair.coverswift) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.
The short version
The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, your photos, videos and projects never leave your phone, the app has no camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permission, and we never receive your designs or personal details. Data leaves your phone only for ads, purchases and crash reports (Google), the cut-out model from Google Play services, and a small settings file the app downloads from our website, as described below.
Data that stays on your phone
- Photos and videos
- Chosen by you with the Android photo picker, so the app cannot see the rest of your gallery. A photo, or the single video frame you choose, is copied into the app's private storage for your project. Nothing is uploaded, sent to us or passed to the ad SDK.
- Cutting out a person
- Done on your phone by Google ML Kit. The model is installed once by Google Play services; after that it works offline. Your image is not sent anywhere. Like other Google libraries, ML Kit may send Google basic usage and performance information that does not include your images.
- Projects and thumbnails
- Projects are saved only in the app's private storage on your phone. Thumbnails you save go to Pictures/Coverswift in your gallery and stay there until you delete them. They are shared only when you use the Android share sheet.
- Trial reminder
- If you start a free trial, one reminder 2 days before it ends is scheduled on your phone by Android. Nothing about it leaves your phone.
- Purchases
- Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
Settings file from tinyfair.my.id
When it starts, the app downloads a small settings file from https://tinyfair.my.id/config/coverswift.json (the minimum app version and how often ads may appear). The request sends no personal data, no project data and no identifier. Like any web request, our web host sees your IP address in its standard server logs; we do not use it to identify you or link it to anything else.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows a small banner inside the Templates and Projects lists and in Settings only. There are no ads in the editor, while you pick a video frame, cut out a person, check the feed or export, on the Pro screen, and no ad when you open the app. A full-screen ad may appear after a thumbnail is saved, before the Saved screen. It never appears in your first session or after your first saved thumbnail, at most once every 90 seconds and at most 8 times a day. You can also choose to watch 2 short videos for 24 hours of Pro, or one video to use a Pro template once. Ad content is limited to no higher than the PG rating, and dating and social casino ads are blocked. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location from your IP address, information about ad interactions, and diagnostics. Your photos and thumbnails are never passed to the ad SDK. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Pro removes all ads.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains your photos, videos, thumbnails, projects or anything that identifies you. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Purchases (Google Play)
Pro is sold through Google Play Billing as a yearly subscription (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers), a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Permissions
Notifications, asked only when you start a free trial, for one reminder 2 days before it ends. Start at boot, so that reminder is set again after a restart. No camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos and media, storage, exact alarm or foreground service permission; photos and videos are chosen with the Android photo picker. Google's ad and purchase libraries add the advertising ID, network state and billing permissions. Internet is used for ads, purchases, crash reports and the settings file described above.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and deleting data
Everything Coverswift stores is on your phone. To delete your projects, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings (Apps, Coverswift, Storage). Thumbnails you saved stay in Pictures/Coverswift until you delete them. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or Settings, Privacy choices in the app. Questions: support@tinyfair.my.id.
Changes and contact
