Tagnib privacy policy
Last updated October 24, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Tagnib: NFC Tag Reader/Writer (com.tinyfair.tagnib) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.
The short version
The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts, we do not track how you use the app, and we never receive what is stored on your tags or your personal details. Data leaves your phone only for ads, purchases and crash reports (Google), and for one small settings file the app downloads from our website, as described below.
Data that stays on your phone
- Tags you read and write
- The content of each tag you read or write (links, Wi-Fi details, contact cards, text) is shown on your phone and saved in History in the app's private storage. It is never uploaded, never sent to us and never passed to the ad SDK. If you use Android device backup, it may be included in that backup, which Google encrypts for your account.
- Contact cards
- Cards you make are saved on your phone and leave it only when you write them to a tag or share them as a QR code or .vcf file.
- CSV export
- Created only when you ask (Pro), and saved or shared only where you choose.
- Purchases
- Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
App settings file (tinyfair.my.id)
When it starts, the app downloads a small settings file from https://tinyfair.my.id/config/tagnib.json (the minimum app version and how often ads may appear). The request sends no personal data, no tag content and no identifier. Like any web request, our web host sees your IP address in its standard server logs; we do not use it to identify you or link it to anything else.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows a banner under read results and in History, and a full-screen ad may appear after a successful write, never while you wait to read. You can also choose to watch 2 short videos for 24 hours of Pro. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location from your IP address, information about ad interactions, and diagnostics. What is stored on your tags is never passed to the ad SDK. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later in Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Pro removes all ads.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains what is stored on your tags, Wi-Fi passwords, contact cards, your history or anything that identifies you. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Purchases (Google Play)
Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase handled by Google Play Billing. There is no subscription. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Permissions
NFC, to read and write tags. Vibration, for a short buzz when a tag is read (you can turn it off). Do Not Disturb access, only if you run a recipe that turns it on and allow it in Android settings. Set alarms and timers, to start the timer or alarm of a recipe in your Clock app. No camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage or notification permission. Internet is used for ads, purchases and crash reports.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and deleting data
Everything Tagnib stores is on your phone. To delete it, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings (Apps, Tagnib, Storage). What you wrote to a tag stays on that tag; erase it with Tools, Erase a tag. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or Settings, Privacy choices in the app. Questions: support@tinyfair.my.id.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions: support@tinyfair.my.id.
