Hushmoss privacy policy

Last updated October 19, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Hushmoss: Screen Time Tracker (com.tinyfair.hushmoss) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.

The short version

The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, we do not track how you use the app, and we never receive your app usage, screen time, unlocks or personal details. The only data that leaves your phone goes to Google: for ads, for purchases, and a crash report if the app crashes, as described below.

Data that stays on your phone

App usage
Which apps you used, for how long, how many times you opened them, and when you unlocked your phone. Read from Android through Usage access and stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. Not uploaded, not shared, not sent to the ad SDK, and not included in Android cloud backup or device transfer. There is no account.
Limits and schedules
Your app limits, quiet hours, goal and pause screen history stay on your phone with the rest of your data.
CSV export
Created only when you ask (Pro), and saved or shared only where you choose.
Purchases
Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, never on the pause screen, during a quiet hour, or on the Pro screen. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location from your IP address, information about ad interactions, and diagnostics. Your app usage, screen time and the names of apps you use are never passed to the ad SDK. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later in Settings. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Pro removes all ads.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains the names of apps you use, your screen time, unlocks, limits, schedules or anything that identifies you. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.

Purchases (Google Play)

Pro is sold through Google Play Billing as a yearly subscription (with a free trial for new subscribers), a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. You can cancel a subscription anytime in Google Play. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.

Permissions

Usage access, which you turn on yourself in Android settings, to read how long each app was open, app opens and unlocks. Display over other apps, asked when you set your first limit, only to show the pause screen. A foreground service with an ongoing notification, running only while you have a limit or quiet-hour schedule on. Notifications, for the daily summary, weekly report and reminders you turn on. Start at boot, so limits keep working after a restart. No Accessibility service, no camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permission. Internet is used for ads, purchases and crash reports.

Children

Hushmoss is meant for adults (18 and over). It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and deleting data

Everything Hushmoss stores is on your phone. To delete it, open Settings, then Delete all history, or uninstall the app. To stop Hushmoss reading usage, turn off its Usage access in Android settings. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or the ad privacy option in Settings. Questions: support@tinyfair.my.id.
