Calendense privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Calendense: Calendar Planner (com.tinyfair.calendense) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.
The short version
The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, and we never receive your events, tasks, notes, contacts or personal details. Data leaves your phone only for ads, purchases, crash reports and anonymous usage statistics (Google), for the weather and public holidays if you turn them on, and for a small settings file the app downloads from our website, as described below.
Data that stays on your phone
- Calendar events
- With your permission, Calendense reads and writes the calendars on your phone through Android (Calendar access). Events are synced only by the accounts you already set up on the phone, such as Google or Samsung; Calendense itself never uploads them. If you do not allow access, events you create are kept in a calendar inside the app's private storage.
- Tasks, day notes, sketches and stickers
- Saved in the app's private storage on your phone.
- Contact birthdays (optional)
- Only if you turn on Show contact birthdays, the app asks for contacts access and reads names and birthdays on your phone to show them in the calendar. They are not copied into your calendars or sent anywhere. Picking a contact for an event uses the Android contact picker.
- Attachments
- An event can link to a file you choose with the Android file picker. The file is not copied or uploaded; only a link to it is kept.
- Schedule photo scan (Pro)
- A photo you take or choose is read on your phone with Google ML Kit text recognition. The photo is not uploaded or kept. You check each event before it is saved.
- Voice input
- The microphone button opens Android's speech input; Calendense receives only the text.
- Settings
- Your views, themes, filters, templates, widget styles and the weather place are saved on your phone. A settings backup file is created only when you export one.
- Purchases
- Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
Weather (optional, Open-Meteo)
Weather is off until you choose a place in Settings. When you search for a city, the name you type and your language are sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service. If you tap Use my location instead, Android asks for approximate location permission once and the app reads your approximate position on the phone. Either way, only the place's coordinates, rounded to two decimals (about 1 km), are then sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) to get a 16-day forecast, which is kept on your phone for 3 hours. No device ID or other personal data is sent. Turning weather off deletes the place and the forecast. See the Open-Meteo terms and privacy.
Public holidays (optional)
If you pick a country under Public holidays, the app downloads that country's public holiday calendar (a public .ics file from Google Calendar) about once every 30 days and keeps it on your phone. The request contains only the country; no personal data is sent.
Settings file from tinyfair.my.id
When it starts, the app downloads a small settings file from https://tinyfair.my.id/config/calendense.json (the minimum app version and which ad formats may appear). The request sends no personal data and no identifier. Like any web request, our web host sees your IP address in its standard server logs; we do not use it to identify you or link it to anything else.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, starting 3 days after you install the app: a small banner at the bottom of the Agenda and Settings, and a small native ad within long lists in the Agenda and search results (at most one in about 15 items). There are no full-screen or video ads, no ad when you open the app, and no ads on the month, week, day, year or editor screens or in widgets. Ad content is limited to no higher than the PG rating, and dating, social casino and similar ads are blocked. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, an approximate location from your IP address, information about ad interactions, and diagnostics. Your events, tasks and contacts are never passed to the ad SDK. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Pro removes all ads.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains your events, tasks, notes, contacts or anything that identifies you. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To learn which features people use and where the app can be better, the app sends a few usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase, such as that the Pro offer was shown or Pro was bought, or that the app was shared. Firebase adds the app version, device model, Android version, country, a random app instance ID and, when ad consent allows it, your advertising ID. Events never contain your events, tasks, notes, contacts, your name, email or anything you type. Collection is off until the consent step is finished and follows your choice (Google Consent Mode). We do not use Google signals, we do not send a user ID, and we do not sell this data. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, statistics are only collected if you allow it in the consent form (Settings, Privacy choices lets you change this). Data is kept for 14 months. See Firebase privacy and security.
Purchases (Google Play)
Pro is sold through Google Play Billing as a one-time lifetime purchase, a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, or a monthly subscription. You can cancel a subscription anytime in Google Play. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Permissions
Calendar (read and write), asked when you first open the app, to show and edit the calendars on your phone; you can say no and use the in-app calendar. Contacts, optional, asked only when you turn on Show contact birthdays. Approximate location, optional, asked only when you tap Use my location for the weather. Notifications, for event and task reminders. Start at boot, so reminders and widgets are set again after a restart. No precise location, camera, microphone, storage or photos and media permission: photos are taken with your camera app or chosen with the Android file picker, and voice input uses Android's speech service. Google's ad and purchase libraries add the advertising ID, network state and billing permissions. Internet is used for ads, purchases, crash reports, usage statistics, the optional weather and holidays, and the settings file described above, never for your events.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and deleting data
Calendense has no account and keeps no data on our side. Events in your phone's calendars stay there until you delete them, in Calendense or any calendar app. To delete everything Calendense itself stores (the in-app calendar, tasks, day notes, sketches, holidays, forecast and settings), uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings (Apps, Calendense, Storage). If you use Android backup, Android may include this app data in your Google account backup. You can turn off contacts, location or calendar access at any time in Android settings. For ad and statistics data, use Settings, Privacy choices in the app or your Android advertising ID settings. Questions: support@tinyfair.my.id.
