Billfinch privacy policy
Last updated October 20, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Billfinch: Thermal Printer App (com.tinyfair.billfinch) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.
The short version
The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, we do not track how you use the app, and we never receive your receipts, printers or personal details. The only data that leaves your phone goes to Google: for ads, for purchases, and a crash report if the app crashes, as described below.
Data that stays on your phone
- Receipts, items and templates
- Saved only in the app's own storage on your phone. They are never sent to us. Delete them in the app or by uninstalling.
- Printing
- Receipts go straight from your phone to your printer over Bluetooth, USB or your own Wi-Fi network. We do not see what you print.
- Files from other apps
- PDFs, pictures and text you share or print to Billfinch are turned into a printer image on your phone and then deleted.
- Web POS links
- A billfinch://print link from a web page is printed on your phone. If the link asks Billfinch to load a picture from a web address, your phone loads it directly from that address.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and information about ad interactions and app crashes. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Buying Pro removes all ads.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains your receipts, items, prices, printed files or printer details. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Purchases (Google Play)
Pro is a subscription (yearly with a 7-day free trial, or monthly) or a one-time lifetime purchase, all handled by Google Play Billing. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Permissions
Nearby devices (Bluetooth), only to talk to the printers you paired; no location access. Notifications (to remind you before a free trial ends). Pictures are chosen with the system photo picker, so no storage permission is needed. USB access is asked when you plug in a USB printer. Internet is used for ads, purchases, Wi-Fi printers on your own network, and pictures a web POS link asks to print.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and deleting data
Everything the app stores is on your phone: delete it inside the app or uninstall the app to remove it. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or the Privacy choices option in the app.
