Wavetally privacy policy

Last updated October 20, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Wavetally: Contraction Timer (com.tinyfair.wavetally) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.

The short version

The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, we do not track how you use the app, and we never receive your contractions, kicks or personal details. The only data that leaves your phone goes to Google: for ads, for purchases, and a crash report if the app crashes, as described below.

Data that stays on your phone

Pregnancy notes

Your due date, contractions, kick counts, bag list and birth plan are saved only on your phone. They are never sent to us, to ad networks or to analytics services. Delete them in Settings or by uninstalling.

Ads

The free version shows non-personalized ads from Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and diagnostics. No pregnancy information is shared with it. After you mark a pregnancy as ended, no ads are shown again.

Sharing

Summaries, birth plans, CSV and PDF files only leave your phone when you choose an app to share them with.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and information about ad interactions and app crashes. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Buying Pro removes all ads.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains your contractions, kick counts, checklists or any pregnancy information. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.

Purchases (Google Play)

Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase handled by Google Play Billing. There is no subscription. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.

Permissions

Notifications, to show the running contraction timer with a Stop button on your lock screen. Start at boot, to put that notification back after the phone restarts. No location, contacts, storage or Health Connect access. Internet is used for ads and purchases.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and deleting data

Everything the app stores is on your phone: delete it inside the app or uninstall the app to remove it. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or the Privacy choices option in the app.
