Questions

How it works
  1. Add your due date. Or the first day of your last period. A name is optional.
  2. Tap when a wave starts. Tap again when it ends. Edit, delete or rate the strength anytime.
  3. Call when you are unsure. Save your midwife's number once and call from the timer.
Is Wavetally a medical device?

No. It records the times you enter and shows simple averages. It does not diagnose anything. If you are unsure, call your midwife, doctor or maternity unit.

Does the timer keep running if I close the app?

Yes. The start time is saved on your phone, so the timer stays right after closing the app or restarting the phone.

Is it free?

Yes. The contraction timer, editing, the 5-1-1 marker, kick counter, hospital bag and CSV export are free. Pro adds a PDF for your midwife, a one-tap widget, 4-1-1 and 3-1-1, and removes ads.

Privacy at a glance
Pregnancy notes
Your due date, contractions, kick counts, bag list and birth plan are saved only on your phone. They are never sent to us, to ad networks or to analytics services. Delete them in Settings or by uninstalling.
Ads
The free version shows non-personalized ads from Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and diagnostics. No pregnancy information is shared with it. After you mark a pregnancy as ended, no ads are shown again.
Sharing
Summaries, birth plans, CSV and PDF files only leave your phone when you choose an app to share them with.

Permissions: Notifications, to show the running contraction timer with a Stop button on your lock screen. Start at boot, to put that notification back after the phone restarts. No location, contacts, storage or Health Connect access. Internet is used for ads and purchases.
