What you can do

Reverse anything you say. Play your recording forwards or backwards, slow it down, change the pitch, loop or trim it.
Copy the backwards sound. The target and your copy are drawn as two waves, so you can see how close you are.
A score out of 100. Your copy is flipped back and compared on the phone.

How to play

Record a short line. A name, a joke or a song you sing yourself.
Listen to it reversed. Play it as many times as you like, slower if you need.
Copy it and flip it. Record your best imitation and hear it flipped back, with a score.

Does Backvox include songs?

No. You record your own voice or import audio you made or have the right to use.

How is the score worked out?

Your copy is flipped back and its sound shape is compared with the original on your phone. It is a game score, not a singing grade.

Is it free?

Yes. Recording, reversing, challenges and sharing are free. Pro removes the video mark and ads, and adds longer recordings and effects.

Privacy at a glance

Recordings: Your voice is recorded and processed on your phone and saved only in the app's own storage. Recordings are never sent to us. Delete them in the app or by uninstalling.
Imported audio: Files you pick with the system file picker are copied into the app's storage on your phone.
Shared videos: Videos are made on your phone and only leave it when you choose an app to share them with.

Permissions: Microphone, only to record you while the app is open; nothing is recorded in the background. Notifications (to remind you before a free trial ends). Audio files are chosen with the system picker, so no storage, location or contacts permission is needed. Internet is used for ads and purchases.
