What you can do

  • One tap, 60 seconds. A low tone sweeps from 140 to 300 Hz and holds at 165 Hz, with vibration.

  • Measure before and after. Clearer means at least 3 dB more after the cycle.

  • Left, right and earpiece test. A 1 kHz tone on each side and a sweep from 100 Hz to 10 kHz to hear buzzing or rattling.

  • Type your own frequency. Any tone from 100 to 500 Hz, with vibration and 30, 60 or 90 seconds.

Questions

How it works
  1. Unplug earbuds, wipe the phone. Dry the outside and hold the speaker facing down.
  2. Measure, then tap Start. Optional: three short test tones give you a before number.
  3. Measure again. See before and after side by side, with an honest label.
Can sound remove dust from a speaker?

No. Dust and lint need a soft, dry brush. Tonewash only helps with water drops in the speaker grille.

What do the dB numbers mean?

They are relative levels of three test tones heard by your phone's microphone, measured the same way before and after. They are not a lab measurement.

Is it free?

Yes. Water eject, measuring, the speaker test and manual tones are free. Pro removes ads and adds full history, unlimited saved tones and automatic repeats.

Privacy at a glance
Microphone
Used only for about 4 seconds while you tap Measure, to hear three test tones. The sound is analysed on your phone and immediately discarded. Nothing is recorded, saved as audio or uploaded. Only three numbers per measurement are kept.
History
Cycle times and measurement numbers are saved only on your phone. A CSV export is made only when you share it.
Purchases and trial reminder
Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details. The trial reminder is scheduled on your phone by Android.

Permissions: Microphone, only while you measure, after you tap Measure. Modify audio settings, to play through the earpiece and to set the volume to maximum when you tap "Set to max" (the old volume comes back afterwards). Vibration. Notifications, only to remind you before a free trial ends. No location, contacts, camera or storage access. Internet is used for ads, purchases and crash reports.
