Frostdial privacy policy
Last updated October 18, 2026. This policy covers the Android app Frostdial: Glass Widgets (com.tinyfair.frostdial) published by Tinyfair on Google Play.
The short version
The app works on your phone. We do not have accounts or servers, we do not track how you use the app, and we never receive your calendar events, wallpaper photo, widget settings or personal details. The only data that leaves your phone goes to Google: for ads, for purchases, and a crash report if the app crashes, as described below.
Data that stays on your phone
- Calendar (agenda widget only)
- Read only if you add an agenda widget and allow calendar access. Events are read on your phone only to show your next events on the widget. Calendar data never leaves your phone and is not collected by us or anyone else.
- Wallpaper preview photo
- If you pick a photo to preview widgets on, you choose it with the Android photo picker. A copy is kept in the app's private storage on your phone only, and it is never uploaded.
- Battery level
- Read on your phone by Android to show on the battery widget. It is not sent anywhere.
- Widget settings
- The style, size, transparency and font of each widget are saved on your phone. There is no account.
- Purchases
- Handled by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, and information about ad interactions and app crashes. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, and you can change it later under Settings, Privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Buying Pro removes all ads.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, it sends a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service that helps us find and fix the bug. A report contains the error and where it happened in the code, the app version, the device model, the Android version, and a random installation ID that is not linked to you, your Google account or your advertising ID. It never contains your calendar events, your wallpaper photo, your widget settings or anything that identifies you. Reports are kept for 90 days. See Firebase privacy and security.
Purchases (Google Play)
Pro is sold through Google Play Billing as a one-time lifetime purchase, a yearly subscription (with a free trial for new subscribers) or a monthly subscription. You can cancel a subscription anytime in Google Play. We do not see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Permissions
Calendar (read only), asked only when you add an agenda widget; if you say no, every other widget still works. No storage or media permission: the preview photo is chosen with the Android photo picker. No location, contacts, camera or microphone access. Internet is used for ads, purchases and crash reports.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and deleting data
Everything the app stores is on your phone: delete it inside the app or uninstall the app to remove it. For ad data, use your Android advertising ID settings or the Privacy choices option in the app.
